It is the aim of Buffalo Public Schools' Student Council to develop an online business directory for Buffalo and the surrounding area. To raise funds for various projects celebrating Buffalo’s Centennial (May 18th 2007) we are selling one web page for inclusion on the business directory to each interested business, organization, or other group.

The web page will essentially be a static online advert for those businesses / organizations / groups for a period of one year. The directory will be accessed through BuffaloCentennial.com, linked to the town and school websites, and optimized for the highest possible ranking on major online search engines.

Web Page Content Suggestions for Businesses / Organizations

• Up to 4 pictures (Provided by yourself, or arrangements can be made for us to take pictures for you)
• Text should include a brief description of the business, including any services offered, hours of operation and rates for any services offered. Contact information for the business is also needed (physical address, telephone number, email address).

These contents will then be incorporated into a custom designed web page for individual businesses. Each page will then be integrated into the main BuffaloCentennial.com website. The cost per web page will be $100.

For those businesses who already have their own websites who would like to be included in this business directory via a web link, a charge will still apply (at a much reduced rate of $25), as they will still be advertising on the site.

Benefits for Businesses

• Compared to a newspaper advert, the web page will provide a static advert for the period of one year at a fraction of the cost.
• The web page can reach a worldwide audience, as opposed to the limited audience other types of advertisements offer.
• It is hoped that this online business directory will be beneficial to the town in general. The directory may help bring Buffalo into the 21st century, and allow more people to see what the businesses in the town have to offer.

If you would like your business to advertise on the BuffaloCentennial.com website, students will be distributing forms to enable you to provide us with the necessary information. Alternatively, you may print the form, presented in two formats, here:

Upon completion of the form, please return it to a student representative (or to the school office). Payment should be included when submitting this form, with checks payable to Buffalo Public Schools.
